Some bikes just call to me. Love these. Beautiful example of the breed.

Yes, I did some work on the 87' Coast Guard cutter, which should be docked close to where you took that pic.

Really liked it there. Love to ride the PCH all the way down to CA one day.

I was there on Friday, on my way out to Neah Bay. Whole Strait was blanketed in the fog though. I'm over in Edmonds.

Yep, foggy on the Strait all Friday. A few miles in and it was clear. Saturday a few of us on Triumphs rode to PT for lunch. Maybe you can join us in our Eurotrash tour of the Olympic Peninsula in a few months.

I bought my Scrambler 18 months ago. Here she is the day I bought her.

The silver speedo mounting has always bugged me, so I decided to strip it and paint it black.

The gap between the speedo and the headlight was also annoying as it made the speedo look like it was detached from the bike.
So I decided to change the headlight brackets for some nice shiny alloy ones and raise the headlight up to close the gap between it and the speedo.

Once I had moved the headlight up, the rectifier looked out of place so I relocated it to the frame along with the ignition switch.

The rectifier bracket under the headlight was replaced with this much smaller bracket and logo.

I had always had a dislike for the white plastic brake fluid reservoir, so I replaced that with a nice black anodised alloy one.

Next came the 3 pot caliper upgrade

By this time the modding demons had taken hold and this TEC 2 into 1 arrived in the post.

To anyone considering fitting one of these to a Scrambler the pipe does need modifying to accommodate the rear brake master cylinder. I did this using some panel beating irons and a ball pane hammer! (It does say on the TEC website that it needs modifying for the Scrambler)

I was then in full on tracker style mode, so I made a rear light and numberplate bracket and modified the rear mudguard.
Painted a spare set on bonnie side panels and front mudguard in satin black to match the frame/engine. And fitted the modified Scrambler single seat, minus the rack.

This is what I ended up with

So what do you reckon?

The mirrors have got to go!
