This a a great thread and it may be detrimental to my checking acct. To bad the Triumph dealer is four hours and two major mountain passes away...

anyone got a line on a crashed Scrambler

I have a regular Bonneville and after doing dome homework and measuring a couple of bikes in the dealership it looks like the Scrambler footpeg mounts will bolt into a regular Bonnie putting the pegs a little lower and a little more forward - which is exactly what I think I want

but the parts are silly expensive

not that I want to pick the bones of a dead bike

but I want to pick the bones of a dead bike

anyone have a line on a no longer road worthy scrambler?

Even though I bought my `06 "Scrambled" about 14 months and 9k miles ago, I can't help but look at some of these pictures and think to myself... "Damn! That's a great lookin' bike!"

Dat's a fact! Even though they have seen it a hundred times, the guys at the gas station come out to see the bike every time I ride it in. Never happened with any other bike, so I know it ain't me they are wanting to see.

As of tomorrow, I've got two weeks off to tour the sth isld of NZ, taking in The 5 Passes Ride, plus 4-5 days camping in the Marlobough Sounds, and several other high country passes.
I've fitted new TKC's fr n rear, and it will be interesting to see how the rear handles a full load of camp, and general day to day baggage.
I know, it's a crappy thing I have to do. But I'll solider on for the sake of the Scrambler community.

Molesworth Station, Rainbow Rd, Dansey's, and Haka Pass just to name a few. And boutique brewery's along the way. I must of done something wicked in a previous life.

Uh huh, we're lucky if we can get the humidity in the house above 7-10 in the winter.

Is there a suspension travel difference between the Scrambler and the Bonnie? The dealer sez "I dunno....." The website does not say at all....

That's exactly what I want to know. If I get one of these things I want to at least be able to go through the occasional ditch or over a curb and not slow down for speed bumps, not that I would ever do such a thing!
