Un-bolt it from the handle bars (4 allen head bolts) and there are two nuts on the bottom of the black plastic cover undo those and remove the cover. You'll need a tiny screw driver(watch/computer repair type) to remove the odometer re-set wheel. Pull the re-set wheel/knob out and dis-connect the speedo cable and it will all come apart.
The idiot light's all just push out, they are mounted with rubber holders only.

bought an 06 scrambler. pipes, skid plate, fly screen, tach, & headlight guard. 1200 miles in three days and she never missed a lick ! great bike & great FUN !

I haven't fitted a tacho yet so just curious, rough as guts estimate: What revs would I be pulling when doing 100kph/60mph on a freeway cruise, standard front sprocket?


If anyone can tell me teh differnce in rpm at whatever speed dropping and/or going up one tooth on the front made, I'd appreciate it

The entire system (pipes and mufflers) is off of a Thruxton.
The specific bike you see is owned by a guy in Texas

I just bought an entire system and will mount after I get the pipes jet coated. I bought the systems off of eBay for $200 and then did a bafflectomy on the mufflers.
I also bought the chrome side panels. The rear mount for the muffler will be hanging out there but I was thinking about putting a tax disc holder there.

OK checked on the way into work this morning, bone stock Scambler:

80km/h 3100rpm
90km/h 3500rpm
100km/h 3800rpm
120km/h 4500rpm

Give or take an rpm.
