I love improvised fixings like this. It's like the genesis of creativity. Once I fixed the throttle cable to the caburator of a Fiat 126 on the way to Saint Tropez with the clip of a Pepsi can and some copper wire. Took us 1800 kms there and back again.

(Sorry for Multiposting) Question aboeut Zard exhaust. I noticed rust!
I noticed rust when I changed the heattape a week ago. The screws from the heatshield, the speed nuts (???) and the circlip (???) at the baffle are completly rusted after just 4 months. My Scram is covererd most of the times and i not getting very wet (even if summer is not worth it's name around here). The exhaust itself semms to be all right, but theres rust in the details. Anyone suffer that problem? I hope I found the right terms (looked that up at leo.org). Ialready changed the screws into rustfree steel, but I think it's crappy to sell such things at thet price.

I had a similar problem on my arrow pipes, the only way to solve it is to get the pipes ceramic coated. The heat tape causes the pipes to get very hot and they cool down very slowly. This causes the different metals that make up stainless steel to separate and the iron raises to the surface and rusts. The only way to stop the rust is to coat the pipes in something that can withstand those kinds of temps.

Is this on an Arrow exhaust or the stock header or something else. Sorry if I missed it.
