That's what I was thinking. When I bought mine I thought 650= big = big kicking, but it is a girly kick and it starts.

I wonder what to look for. Now once I bump past TDC no problem, just stroke it through and it will start or not, but when it hits TDC and you don't decompress your done.

Just a ? what is the auto decompressor do and maybe it has failed, I hear it click at TDC but like I said, you try to kick it before TDC and it stops dead.

My 2000 works just like yours. Always has. Never bothered me, all my thumpers were like that. Just pull the comp release, slight movement on the kick, and all is good.

Awesome!
Get the pivot works kit for the swingarm bearings and possibly the linkage from RockyMountainATV.com.

Just figgerin' the likely odds... Don't let the swingarm special tool put you off, not hard to make at all. Or... splurge and buy the real tool from Service Honda. FWIW, my dealer down the street was maybe $3 more than SH.

Thanks RED I have not worried about it because I figured after running the compression tests and getting mid 170 numbers three times. I just figured it was the compression and tight cylinder. So thats a good thing.
