I've never run a 606. I usually run Maxxis Desert IT's in the rear, 120 size. Good dirt tire but will wear out quickly on the slab. This go around I just put on a Sakura Dirt Shark. Had good luck with it on my old DR-Z so we'll see how it does on the pig.

I prefer the Dez IT. They last as long as the D606 I ran, they make a better dirt tire, and they're cheaper.

Thought I would post up a couple pics from our ride yesterday and keep this awesome thread at the top! Inmate Focker (XR650R), Myself (XR650R) and Inmate YamWOW! (WR250R) went out and hit some trails. We are pretty lucky to have quite a large riding area just minutes away from the house. Lots of hill climbs and varied trails from rock to sand.
![]() ![]() ![]() Just finished installing the Scott damper, this was the first ride with it installed. So far it seems to work great, very solid feel in the front end. I'll have to ride it more and tweek in the settings. ![]() Focker on his BRP. ![]() We have a good selection of hills to play on. Hoadkaguy

Yeah its actually about a 15 minute ride for us. The area is pretty huge but in the last 6 or 7 years about half of it got closed
There is another huge section of riding area about the same distance away but its mainly sand dunes and I really prefer the hard pack stuff. I just can't wait to get back down to the deserts of SE Oregon! Hodakaguy

Hey Hoadkaguy, where did you get that snazzy cable guide that's attached to the race light frame? I'm looking for something similar (I have a nearly identical setup to yours finishing up here). :)
Great looking riding area!!! D

You can get it from Trailtech, just go to their web site and you should see it. It works great. Post up some pics of your setup Hodakaguy
