Wayyyy back in December, when I bought Stella, I bought it from Scooters Originali.

Gene, the owner, made no mention of the need to pre-mix when running a Malossi kit.

After 82 miles, I fragged the top end on Stella.

So, I called Gene and asked for a little help. Nothing free, just to sell me the rebuild parts at dealer cost to help me out a little.

Promises, promises, promises.

After 3 months of going round and round with him, I finally gave up and just bought another kit.

And I know he didn't have to anything at all, I bought the scoot with no warranty.

But it would have been the right thing to do.

So in my book?

He sucks.

OUCH.

Yeah, I'd think it would be worth mentioning.

I'm going to drop back 10 yards and punt...and put my stock cylinder and a Sito Plus on my Stella, and see about rehabbing my Pinasco kit so that everything's polished up and ready to mount up next year. Expensive trial-and-error but I think mine is rehabbable. Something's not quite right--I keep soft-seizing mine and I don't think it's jetting so much as an air leak somewhere. Since I'm not riding I've got some down time to tinker with it.
