It will be 2 weeks before the batch is made, clear anodized, and packaged.
I do not have an example of the final product, but it looks the same as that on page 1, except the center support is round (instead of being cut on 4 sides). I was thinking of calling it "the bone" now. The angular look of the side profile is unchanged, because it matches the architecture of the bike so well. None of the critical, structural features are changed.
They will fit on EXC's, XC's, and LC4's as well. It will create a small forward arch in the bar motion, and greater leverage for controlling head shake. The testers say that it takes a little getting used to if you are accustomed to the stock mounting postion. But once they drove it for a half hour, they like it. The original intent of the geometry was to work with the 950's stock triple clamp mounts. All 950 riders love it right away. EXC riders like it after a long test ride.

How much higher then stock are they? I'm presently using Touratech risers and could use a bit more height.

Thanks

Riser update

I am striking an agreement with a local e-trading web site, so that everybody can order the riser through them, if you prefer. They'll accept credit cards or paypal, and get a much better deal on shipping than I can get. It will end up costing the same.
If you want to work with me directly, then I'll take certified cheques or money orders. Remember, shipping won't start until the end of next week. If you've already expressed interest and are waiting for your PM, I'm still organizing the details of shipping, etc, so please stand by. Don't worry, you are still on the list.

Hey Guys

In case some of you are waiting for PM replies from Kevin (DirtinBlood) - I was out with his this weekend, so I know he has not been near a computer since Friday. He will get back to you as soon as he can.

Also - he now has his prototype for the 640 (LC4) which should also work on the EXC models. I took pictures and will post them for him in the next day or so.

Dirtnblood Risers on the 640 Adventure

Installed a prototype set of Kevin's riser on my KTM 640 Adventure on Sunday. I'm just a little guy at 5"8"" and the stock risers on the 640 are still not enough for a comfortable standing position, for me anyway!
Installation was a breeze, the bars are now a little farther forward but the perfect height for long term standing. I rode a couple laps around a local hare scrambles course and the benefits of the risers were felt right away. I had greater control while standing in the high speed sections and better leverage on the bars in the tight sections. Later that day I went out for a short 60 mile ride and stood most of the time. The difference in the level of comfort is really amazing as is the control.
I know that Osteo will put up some pics but here's one of mine.
