Wheel Polish
Recently bought 2011 Bonneville with alloy wheels. Triumph couldn't advise if aluminum or alloy. Wheels have corrosion(?) specks. Specks are whitish in color. Tried Wenol, S100 metal polish, and Never Dull. None removed the specks but cleaned around specks. Boms Away has good write ups but figured if anybody could recommend a product you could. Thanks in advance.

white specs on anodized Triumph Bonneville wheel
Quote:
FYI,,we see it all th etime in corrosive environments...we've found that whe we strip the old anodizing off and rebuff em theylook super fine, either re-anodizing or powdercoating will reveal how deep the corrosion actually went ,,,hence some folks just leave un-anodized ,,and maintain their wheels wit mother's or never dull,,,some use a quick coat of Xrystal clear krylon...protects a bit better than wax and can readily be removed by spraying the clear with carb cleaner and wiping it of,,buff/polish th erim and start over with another coat of Xtal clear hope that helps for now holler woody

Hi woody
Re BMW f650gs single Can you lace a 17 inch rear rim on to the front hub of this bike. Looking to make a 17/17 sm setup and I already have a spare rear hoop. Thanks K

can rear 17'' rim of F650gs be used on front???
Quote:
we have a broad range of tricks to re-cycle/swap rims and hubs everyhting from re-drilling nipple holes,,re-angling the nipple seats,,changing lace patterns to accommodate different indexing etc,etc i believe in your case if the indexing is the same as the front you can get by with a custom spoke kit and re-angling the spoke hole and countersinking the rim to accommodate the different spoke angles,,,the rear hub is wider and bigger in diameter than the front if we superlace or custom lace it,,that cost gets factored in ,,otherwise we charge $30 for this process holler if we can help woody

No doubt this has been asked before, but I can't find it... so my apologies if you have answered it a thousand times. ![]() Is there a good way to convert a Yamaha WR250R to run tubeless tires? If so what do you think is the best way? I may have a line on a nice WR250R (have always wanted one), but since a ton of its use would be getting to-and-from the trails, and I already have all the pump, plugs, etc. to fix tubeless flats that I carry on my other bikes, I thought is might be worthwhile to do the conversion. Of course, that assumes there are decent tubeless dual-purpose tires in 18" and 21"... ![]() Also wondering if you are aware of any way to mount up a larger diameter front disc to the little Yamaha other than fitting the WR250X front hub? Thanks! Dallara ~

WR250R Excel A60's
Not sure if this has been covered. Sorry if it has.
Can Woody build me a set of Excel A60's for my WR250R? I heard the hubs and rims don't match. Thanks, Everett. |

This winter I had Woody's build a new front wheel for my 08 990. The oem was ben tup! Well I took my first ride this weekend and the new 50/50 sticks much better on fire roads, much. In fact it was great. I did not feel the need to stand as much to get weight on the front.
Great improvement Woody's.
