I think option five might be the best. I need to sort this out and I should stop kidding myself into thinking I could build a strong wheel, let alone a safe one. Some things are better left to pros.

2,,upgrade to a Superlace,,send in your hub and rim and we will re-drill/angle one side of your rim and create a x3 lace pattern ie jumping over to he next hole that is pointing in the correct direction,,the other side stays x2 ie oem pattern,,,you'll end up with a stronger wheel to boot not just a stronger hoop,,remembe rit has to be kept together ,,and i've got that figured out

3,,the ss steel superlace spoke kit costs $120 with ss nipples about $15 less with zartan nipples superlace with 1 year warranty on the lace n true is just $99

4,,if you are trying to keep cost down we can sell you half ie the x3 side of a spoke kit,,ie use half your old spokes and nipples,,,and do all the prep work on rim and you can do the rest ie lace n rue,, or we can prelace and you can true,,whatever your pocketbook and talent can handle..

5,, the othe roption is to trde in your A-6o for one of our correctly drilled rims..call zach at the shop

hope that gives ya a broad range of options,,,

aftermarket hubs for f800gs

It will be some time before the aftermarket hub is created. We are looking into the possibility, feasibility, and the market. Should have a clearer idea in the next month. Keep you posted on the development.

Nuetech Tublis Technology now in Stock!

They've been putting everyone off and taking backorders for over a year now, but they are now available.

They are designed for those of you with dirtbikes and/or anything that you run under 25 psi, have 1.85/2.15 x 18/19" or 1.60"x21" rims, and can put a rim lock in.

People have been raving about them, the weight savings, the lack of tube, etc. They are a bit of a pain in the neck to mount, even with the install video, seen here: http://www.nuetech.com/tubliss-video.shtml

The cost for the product is $99. Call or e-mail if you are interested: woodyswheelworks@gmail.com

Here is a pic of the wheel you laced up for my KLR last year.

I now have a dinged front rim on my KTM950ADV.

I need a new rim, stronger and need to lace it to my existing hub. Do you have any recommendations?

950 Adv --> 950 Se

If I bought a pair of 19/17 wheels used on a KTM 950 Adventure for my 950 SE what modifications would have to be done to the wheels? Can the second front disk just be removed or does the hub need to be replaced? If it needs to be replaced do the spokes also? I think the rear is no change, right? How much?

thanks!

rear wheel straight swap

front wheel:
1,,you'll need new spacers for your hub
2,,you can run just the left disc on that dual disc hub,,
3,,if ya don't like the disc carrier flanges we can machine em off or swap hubs,,this would just be an aestehetic exercise on your part

that's it..and i bet you'll like that wheel combo on your SE

Woody, Any chance you have OEM hubs for the F650GS (thumper, dual spark, 2006)? If not, I will need to send you my originals, I guess. I am looking to upgrade to black excel wheels, 21" front and probably keep the 17" rear (maybe go 18"). I will call your shop in days coming. I got a quote last year, but some things came up and I deleted it...nwo ready to move forward...sorry for the fits and starts....

NO

1,,,,the 990 rear hub is perhaps 11/2'' wider than your EXC,,so you definitely need another wheel here.

2,,,the front wheel may fit BUT has double disc on 990 vs just a single on the 450EXC,,,just checked with zach regarding the swap,,he claims it is a no go ,,different axle diameters and spacers too:(....

Woody,
I've got a 19" front on my BMW G650XCountry. I was wondering if there was a 21" rim that would be compatible with my OEM hub. My hub has 36 spokes and is the same part as the xChallenge front hub. Thanks!

Andrew

PS. Awesome work on my GasGas rear rim. That thing just can't seem to get hurt.
