looking for GT

I have test ridden one in knoxville lately. Due to the low dollar high Euro, the dealer might not have room to bargain so have been locating used and leftovers, most of them around 8-8500 dollars.
If anyone knows of GT's for sale PM me

steve in knoxville

That's a good price, Steve.......$2K less than what I paid in May of '07.

No association with seller. Hard to believe you buy a bike and don't ride it?

This from a guy who thought nothing of these previous comments ?;

LarryBiker1 "Rode the Bmrs vanilla flavored, boring no thanx"
LarryBiker1 "Bme geeks have fun falling over in the dirt with your 500 pound GS and your coffee meetings!!!! "
and lastly "Bmr guys smile and dont say much. Maybe they wonder if they made the right choice. !!!"

Chumley, I do share your general outlook on what should be a more tolerant community of fellow riders, I too believe there is a role for most bikes to play, some of those roles however have yet to appeal to me. LarryBiker1's comments about BMW's and their owners are as derisive and unoriginal as any of the cliche denigrations the Harley and/or cruiser community suffer ad nauseum.
I usually find such comments to more revealing about their author than about the subject in question. Why should someone feel so slighted by another person's ride?

That two tone is gorgeous. What a decision to make for the next bike.

I much prefer the 'Bicolore' to the silver /dark grey. That copper & black one a few pages back was quite a stunner.

7500-mile service & DYNO....

I had the first 'real' service performed recently, with centerstand installation and a dyno run afterward. A failure in the wiring harness is setting-off the caution light on the dash.....it's not reading the air temp sensor for the fuel injection. Bike runs fine, and the harness will be replaced under warranty when it arrives. No other lingering issues.

Dyno'd at Erico in Denver (high altitude) on a 91F day......not the best conditions, obviously. Best of 2 runs: 82.71 HP & 62.83 ft-lbs torque at the rear wheel. I'm satisfied with the results.

Plastic tank spreading on the throttle side. Ducati is replacing under warranty but will the next tank do the same?

I sat on one yesterday at the cycle show in LA. Very sweet, the owner of ProItalia here said he'd have one to test in a couple weeks.

I was pretty convinced I was going to get another Speed Triple, but now I may swing to Italian if it tests out.

Bringing this thread back from the dead...

I found a 2007 Red GT1000 left over no miles and full warranty from dealer for $8700. Do you guys think this is a good deal? Also, will the tires need to be replaced since the bike has been sitting for 2 years never being ridden? Thanks
