Also a quick note to say that I have a skidplate set on hand for the GS adventure in a silver vein powdercoat finish. The set will include the engine skidplate with extra tall front lip, centerstand skidplate with all mounting hardware and shipping included in the USA for $280.00.

One of the inmates asked me to make him a custom cargo rack for his GSA. I just got done powdercoating it and took a few pictures before it gets shipped out. 2HE

I have run your skidplates for the last two years and love them. I am wondering if I could have you build me a modified aluminum shelf for a GS. I was thinking of a combination of a shelf and a cockpit shield. I am looking at taking my windshield off for summer riding in the desert and would want to protect the back of my instrument cluster. If you are interested let me know. I would be happy to be a guinea pig for your efforts.

I have a suggestion:

Could you update your Post #1 and include all of the prices. I have looked through the posts and your smugmug site and the pricing on your items vary. I understand that the original stuff was posted in 2007 when things were cheaper, but it would help us to have all of the pricing/options on 1 page where we could order from.

Personally, I am interested in your skid plate (silver or powder coated black - will need prices on both - for my GSA), the tie down hooks and maybe a few other doodads.

Oh yeah, shipping would be to 97007.

I was at the BMW swap in Pecatonica IL last weekend and had a great time as usual. Just wanted to thank all the inmates that made a puchase or just to say hi. Always good to meet a few more of the guys. I'll be at the BMW rally in Soldiers Grove WI on the 20th, 21st, and 22nd. This is a great rally that grows a bit every year. Very nice location and great riding area. Hope to see you there. 2HE

Ernie, I joined this forum after being on another one for a while, and, more to the point, after seeing a proud customer's photos of your work. I can choose my own project in a welding class. Time and skill are some limiting factors. (After all, I am still in a class!)

I apologize for jumping into your skidplate discussion; it was the only way i knew how to initiate contact.

My friend is discouraging me from making a rack and hard panniers for my 2009 Super Sherpa (nothing like someone encouraging and cheering you on, huh?), and it might be too big a project for the end of year assignment. Yours were wonderful, by the way.

I think a swingarm stand is a good project idea, and after searching all over online have found a lot of dead links and deleted pictures.

I'm kinda lost about materials, measurements, drawings, and all the necessary starting information for making something. Do you know any resources for this? I would be very grateful for any help.
