Awesome! I'm looking forward to it! I'll be doing a Doc Wong/Cal BMW Dirt Clinic for Bigger Bikes soon and I want to "test" your products!

Update: Got the 2 skidplates. Very nice. They look great and I'm sure they will do the job.

Hey Tim and Marty, I got your fuel cells all ready to go for the iron butt. Also have two sets of skidplates set aside for you as well. Give me a shout and we'll get together for the installation. Thanks Ernie

I would like to get one, my only concern is I installed Remus full system on my HP2, will it still fit? I think Remus header pipes are a bit wider....
Anybody has a similar set-up?

H CarbonCat, I have run into the HP2 with Remus exhaust. I make the skidplate 1/2" wider to compensate for the extra width. Let me know if you would like one. Ernie dakotabeemer@hotmail.com

Installed and used! They work great during the dirt clinic that I did this last weekend!

Hi Doc, Glad to hear the skidplates are working well for you. Sounds like they will get put to the test. I've recieved a few photos in the past couple years where I got to see them take some nasty hits. Let me know how things go long term. Thanks Ernie

Will do. One thing I've noticed is that the plate does not mount to the bottom front attachement points of the motor case. Looks like you could thread a bolt thru it.

I'm assuming that was done on purpose as a solid mount can damage the engine case?

Hi Doc, The first time I got to see a early 2005 R1200GS I thought that would be a great spot for the front mount. They did use that though hole for the front mount for the HP2 but I'm told that was changed back to the same style as the standard GS. Work with what they give you to work with I guess. 2HE

Apparently not so. My 2007 has that front mount.
