researching

I've tried to find an acceleration comparison between the GSA and the Super Tenere, having little luck, has anyone ridden both of these models and make a quick summation of which one is quicker and a little more peppy? I'm in the market for a 1200 and all of these choices are awesome, the GSA 2010/11, the Tiger 1200, and the Super Tenere, I'll bite the bullet when that Tiger comes out and I get on one, then I'll have to ride a Super Tenere (if possible)...wow, what a market!
Thanks for any advice or guidance.

Wrong thread. But even the 750 version smokes them in ever way possible.

Good idea on the thread title change.

mmmm,
according to a comparison test in a Belgium magazine between the old and new bike.
The bike journalists found that the new 1200 could not match the old 750´s low end torque and linear power output.......

Project S10

Here is a picture of my 1990 Super Tenere (minister of finance is in the background to demonstrate the new ride height!). I have fitted some Yamaha WR450 front forks, a KTM 990 adventure front guard and lowered the shock mount 12mm and shortened the links to achieve a 77 mm higher seat height (to match the front forks) I'm in the process of rebuilding the engine completely. The front windshield/headlight surround is a fibreglass item to lift the screen angle up to get that Rallye look.

The bike was in pretty poor shape before I saved it! The fairings were completely crashed and came in a plastic bag when I bought the bike. I managed to repair the lot using Plastex and filler for a near new finish. The bike is painted in french blue 2 pack paint with 6 coates of clear over the decals and painted stripes. I hope to have the bike running next year some time ready to ride in the Tenere Tragics 2013 run here in Australia.

I know you guys can tell that I'm going for the Sonauto Yamaha team look......
