Northwest Houston area, about 20 miles from the city center.
A spare bedroom plus a comfortable couch and (of course) floor space. Room in the back yard for tents if your just dead set on going primitive. Room in the garage for bikes. The more notice I get, the better dinner will be...

Florida's "Nature Coast"
The Swamp...
80 miles west of Orlando and 40 miles north of Clearwater at SR-50 and US-19 in Weeki Wachee ![]() The old mobile home, an ongoing project that I see no end to is a bit rustic...As a beer camp should be But with central AC/Heat, two bedrooms and full kitchen/bath. The floor is uncovered plywood, so dirty feets can't hurt much. A wet vac is for when it gets so bad you can't stand it ![]() There's also a dryer for wet gear, ask Mr. Cob ![]() ![]() and a washer still in need of being hooked-up ![]() Just like The Scrub I like to say it's one step above camping ![]() Although I do have to keep the place such that HoJo will tolerate it every so often![]() Located on 350 feet of rural highway frontage that backs up to the Chassahowitzka Nat'l Wildlife Refuge, the locals on the flood plain refer to my camp as The Hill seeing that it's located atop the first sand dune east of the Gulf of Mexico along SR-50 Saturdays the highway brings a continous stream of boats being trailered to local ramps And at times there's literally hundreds of Harley riders thundering by, each in search of an ice cold beer at The Bayport Inn All summer, bikini clad babes shriek in ecstacy as they pass on their way to Pine Island beach ![]() For additional sleeping there's a 12x12 guest room, The Love Shack in the shed and also a small 1970's Scotty travel trailer, the Derfmobile ![]() Both have AC/heat An additional shower/comode is in the utilty roomFried mullet roe and fillets for Johnny Quest ![]() ![]() Covered pavilion for bikes out back ![]() Room can be made for bikes inside too if need be Firepit with cooking grate and plenty of wood Charcoal Grill and propane cooker too ![]() No internet but the local library is only two miles away No cable but there's plenty of DVDs for the small TV in the mobile home All amenities are available from groceries to restaurants on US-19/SR-50 Pool Hall and conveniece store both within walking distance ![]() Closest Bike Shop is KTM/Triumph within three miles; Kawi, Suzuki, Yamaha within seven and Honda is about 10 A local delicacy, stone crab season runs from Oct. 15th through March and we, the local ADVers have been known to eat our fill a few times here each year ![]() I keep a key to the private neighborhood park onsite along with a canoe and kayak. Let me know if you want to paddle the river, truly one of my favorite things ![]() Of course when it's cold as a beyotch out there's practically no one that uses the park. The water in the first magnitude spring fed river stays a constant 72 degrees and actually feels warm during the winter once the air temp dips below about 50 This is the first privately owned parcel down river from the famous attraction![]() Plenty of good riding in the area, both DS and street In fact there's a steady line of bikes traveling through the Citrus Game Reserve here by the house at The Farm too. Check the links in my sig for additional info and photos. For dates of local ADV get-togethers, Scrub rallies and Swamp parties see link below: Daily Drivel
