Home of motorcycle mechanic and Mitas tire seller
We live between New Orleans and Baton Rouge, La. Only 45 minutes to an hour to New Orleans. Here are the positives and negatives about our house:
-my husband is a motorcycle mechanic that works out of our garage
-we sell Mitas adventure bike tires
-we have a dirtbike track in our yard
-if you're nice and we have time, my husband might grill you some boudin
-we work from home, so we are usually here except for race weekends
-my husband loves to talk about bikes
-We have air conditioning!! Ha! Ha! Down here that's important
-must be dog, hamster, parakeet, kid, dirt and weed friendly
-if the kids are feeling friendly, they may give up a bed for you, but you'll probably be sleeping on the couch or you can sleep on the floor of my office
Call Kevin (225) 315-3423 or Jill (225) 627-1402. Depends on my mood and the state of the house how much notice I need!

Garage/bike help in west/central NJ
If for some reason you're in need of a place or help in NJ, I'm willing to lend a hand. I would imagine you'd be on your way to or from New England, for no one travels to NJ for adventure bike touring
But seriously, I can help point people to some nice roads away from the Interstates and traffic. Been street riding here since age 19 (over 20 years) so i know the roads and area very well. There are some nice ways to travel through NJ, especially on the West side of the state.
I live Lawrenceville, NJ: between Trenton and Princeton, right off of I-95; nice quite suburban type home. Can probably offer a guest room/shower with a nice queen size bed, as long as i get some notice (and wife's approval) Camping is probably not a good idea, for we have a resident fox and at least one skunk and raccoon that live in my back yard.
We do have three cats, all of which are harmless.
Garage space if you need it. Loaded with:
-Endless amount of metric tools
-large air compressor/impact gun
-mig welder for steel or aluminum
-duct tape :-)
-micro brews in the fridge
-lots of travel stories
-free help with the bike :-)
Can also offer trailer pick up if you have a break down. We have a dealership in town, typical Kawasaki/Suzuki place, but they do stock quite a bit of tires and such.
