but my first Cannondale was a 1987 sm500, in Blueberry.

I thought the high bottom bracket was pretty cool.

When you posted that photo, I started googling Cannondale from the late '80s because I couldn't remember what year/model I had. It took a while to find because I thought it was newer than '87, I bought it in '89, I think, as a leftover.

I found this cool vintage Cannondale site:

The pdf copy of the 1990 catalog is from the shop where I bought mine.

I had the Criterium (road) version as my first road bike.

GREAT for crits and sprints, but anything over say 90min sucked.

Woke up to warm temps but rain. So I rode the trainer out in the garage.

for getting in 3 x 6min 'cruise intervals'
for havin to ride the damn trainer in the first place. Yeah, I coulda HTFU and gone outside, but the nasties all over the road from the last snow make that less than desirable.

Now its alternating between coming down in buckets and sunny and warm. ...and can you say WIN-DEE?! I've already checked in (and finished) a repair and am working on lunch.

That seems more like it. I asked my neighbor and he said he would build a 52 in. for 3600. Don't know what materials he uses, but they are like museum pieces when he's done.

Actually she is kind of understanding, Kind of..

We have 28 bikes total in between the two of us, Five I got for her, Two tandems and the rest are my size so I guess they are mine, The problem is that not even one of them is a "Commuter" bike so we can not even go to the movies on them do to the fear of getting them stolen, What I do need to fix pronto, Maybe will some more bikes

I'm not as bad as you, we only had 23 but I've been slowly weeding them out. We have 2 tandems also, road & mtb but the mtb is set up with a kids stoker crank for the 7yo and 700c road wheels.

I've got some catching up to do! I only have 5 right now with 1 more on the way!

That is the exact bike I had! I remember it was spray painted black when I got it. I stripped all the paint off and I discovered it was actually pink at one point in it's life.
I know it was a 87 because of the serial number.

That thing is massive, It most be heavy as hell, I don't even know what brand it is, I have never see it at least
