The background:
Did tri's for two years. Sprint and Olympic. Did some bigger rides too (Flint Hills Death Ride). Then had a kid and gained 30lbs.

The plan:
Use my trainer and road bike during nap time!!! Melt fat, build the engine.

My question:
I really need a structured plan for this. I don't do well if I don't have a plan to stick to!
DOES ANYONE HAVE A GOOD INTERVAL PLAN I COULD USE FOR OFF SEASON CYCLING?

Thanks guys. :

Sent from my fat thumbs on a small touch screen.
There's all kinds. The Sufferfest, Spinervals, etc etc etc.

Or if you wanna more DIY: Time Crunched Cyclist for those with little time and Joe Friel's book if you've got more time. Friel also wrote a book for triathletes if you wanna go that way.

Take a look at the names at the top of any of the Strava leader boards at our local trails. Those guys (and girls) are all pro or semi-pro racers. So you Strava hating tossers can just piss off!

Thanks for the rack(s) feedback guys.

I am gonna look into either the hoist thing, or the floor to ceiling stand..probably the best two options for my limit space/floor-wall space.

I couldn't disagree more. I lived in hills of upstate NY for 17 years. Bicycling in that area is nothing but exhausting climbs and dangerously steep descents. Flatter is better.

It may not be CA, but, there's some good riding in FL. IMBA has rated some of their trails as "epic". I had a great time, down there, on my MTB.

Don't be so hard on yourself. Inspiration here.

There are plenty of steep climbs out at Santos: Magic Mountain, Ant Hill, John Brown, Rattlesnake Ridge, the Vortex -- I hate them all.
