I wanted to yell "STRAVA!!!!!!!" while running a red light on my solo 30 mile midnight ride tonight but there was no one there to appreciate it.

The boot camp I did with my friend last week really took it out of legs and I struggled the entire time. I think she owes me a massage...

Very interesting comments - thanks for taking the time. I had no idea that lugs could be fabricated by stamping. How are the stamped halves joined? I was pre-judging the chances of 531 tubes by the low quality fitted cycle components together with the wall thickness of the seat lug clamping the seat post - it looks quite heavyweight compared to another 531db frame I had made in the 70s. I think I will be stripping the paint off in due course and will be on the lookout for any decals/transfers buried within to clarify. Seat post and external seat tube diameters will then be recorded. But based on your own analysis, mud, I'll expect little of quality.

Perhaps another option is to carefully strip the paint off and hope that the old stickers/transfers are still there? I gather the seatpost diameter would also help clarify. I have a vernier caliper somewhere.

You know what? If the bike "floats your boat", fix it up. Below was a project that one shop owner actually laughed in my face. No worries, I found a shop who was as enthusiastic as I.

1963 BSA Sports....maybe a $200 bike, in mint condition.

Cheers! Its the 25" ctt frame that is the appeal. Sure its ugly but the extra steel on the frame is probably only an extra pound or so over a one with a good pedigree. I've got 3-4 other source bikes and am going to scour them for various bits to just run it around town. A shimano 3 speed hub on a 27" rim is looking good. The ratty look has a certain appeal to it.

1st ride with the new Edge. 1st ride in 17 years with an HRM. I got UP to 105bpm. Tried to keep it down 90-95 bpm, but a headwind into a slight rise got me going.
