Nice I didn't even think about that. I'll be (if I can) biking to El Camino college. Right now all I have bike wise is a Redline Monocog 29er, maybe I could switch to a lower cog, I believe its currently 32x20, in the back and add some slicks and it would work. Save me a ton of money.

Feh. You don't need on of those. All you need is to get an old hub, a new axle, and re-axle that hub.

Easy.

I can't tell you how many American Classic hubs I've done that way.

You'll prolly be into this one for less than $20 by the time yer done.

True dat! That's why I also have a 2500 Duramax long bed. It has a stick too, what can I say; I like shifting! That's impressive, I've never seen such a thing stuffed in one of those.
I get better mileage and can still haul a lot of shit around-first time I've tried stuffing an MC in there. Easy peasy

Hey John, no polis were seen on the run home but I saw 3 on my way down. I'm sure it would have been fine as the bike had 4 ratchet straps to seat & door frame points to secure it. That whole rescue mission was surprisingly painless including finding the loose connection. That poor, poor car just gets nothing but abuse! The beers and the 4 hours sleep with a fresh cold made yesterday particularly enjoyable

Thanks gentlemen.

The Cervelo is actually Canadian, I named her Molly, because the only Canadian girl I've ever known was named Molly. :) I love my bicycles...thats for sure. I miss being able to ride as much as anything else when deployed.

Hey skibum, I noticed in your sig line you have a couple of Surlys, right after I fit out the Blur, Im buying a Karate Monkey to commute on when I get back. I live 12 miles straight line, 17 the way I ride from the base Im stationed at, so its a NICE commute each day. I did it on the Cervy last year, but I really want something more suited to it, plus I wnt a single speed.

I take it you like yours?

I own page 736! Check those apes!

Don't need any fancy bike to get around on here in Flori-duh. All you need is a simple beach cruiser. I ride the 8 miles to work in about 22 min. Only 16 miles round trip so I do 70% of the time. During the winter it is dark in the morning so I outfited it with lights and plenty of reflective tape. I decked my big Caloi out with some mini apes and highway gear. Tuff to start out but halling balls once you get going.

yup-love them. I tossed up a Karate Monkey or 1x1 and finally landed on the single. I'd still like a KM with a few gears too. I'm constantly amazed by what I'm able to ride on the 1x1 though, check out the latest album on my smugmug to see the stuff around here. Hmmmm...maybe that KM will come after I spend a season on the Intense that should be here by the end of the week?
