Ignore him. He's just jealous. And now that PhilSpace has a Real Scooter, his heart is truly torn asunder.

Don't talk about respect, I should put this in JM, but I'm his bitch evidently. Buying groceries, cleaning, washing dishes, cooking dinner, bringing him his Mount and Dew.

Just remember, at least I RODE my bike down here today.

I pick her up Wednesday AM, in an attempt to avoid the heat. Pics to follow.

I have been going through the shop manual trying to figure out what I'm in for. Are they high, pulling the head and cleaning it every 4K Km? I love the Italian to English translations, it's something from Q, this Scoot has the " 'LS' Device". You have to go on for two paragraphs before you figure out they are referring to the separate oil tank and oiling system. I'm glad I also have the Haynes manual and another one by Darnell and Golfen. I also found the catalog of spare parts for the 125 and 200 if anyone ever needs anything, that could easily be scanned and .pdf'ed.

1. run it until it runs crappy
2. fix
3. repeat

There are about 4 moving parts on the entire machine.

The cylinder head is gonna ooze. "They all do that." Retorque and keep going. Do a plug chop a time or two to get famliar with how it burns, keep a spare (usually 2 or 3 is nice as you get used to it...a range up and down + standard heat range) but most likely all you'll ever do to the thing is
1. swap out the standard heat range plug occasionally if you screw up and flood it,
2. pull the the head out of morbid curiosity, look at it, go "hmmm" and put it back,
3. occasionally tighten up loose stuff and keep an eye on the cables. and
4. replace the damned tail light bulb over and over

Stone-simple and tough as an anvil. Frickin' brilliant bike.

BTW they don't run for shit cold.

Using good oil will help with the carbon build-up. I've been using Castrol synth on all three 2T scoots and it's pretty good stuff. Smells okay, too. :snooooooort

There you go again Goose, threatening all the scooter riders. And this PhilSpace guy? He's new to scootering, and if you scare him off with your bluster and blabber, there no telling what might happen.

So give Stella some Xanax, and call me in the morning.

Or just ask me for pictures of the inside of the head. I'll be happy to share.

No worries, I'm up to speed on old Kevin and tend to discount everything he posts

Something tells me I will be stripper her down and going over her with a fine tooth comb over the winter, but for what's left of the year, I'm going to blow the snot out of her first.

I bet with the right TLC, cleaning up the Delorto, the head etc. she might give a Stella a run for it's money.

I'm afraid to look at mine.

The plan was to tear it down this summer since I'm not riding right now. However, I'm a bit hesitant to sit my ass in the 100 degree heat in the shed right now. I figure my patience would be nil.

I've soft-seized it 2x.

I think I've got an air leak somewhere.

But I love the damn thing. Can't wait to get it completely sorted out.

I can't wait until Phil's first ride report.

Can I come up there and ride it while you're gone?

Sure, if you think you can handle my mother in law and the pups.
