The White Pass Railway

When you ride to Skagway, AK be sure to ride the White Pass Railway up to the Canadian border. There are some amazing views and bridges and tunnels. No place in the lower 48 would the railroad let you stand out on the platform between cars with no safety gear, hanging over the side taking photos. You are often looking straight down hundreds of feet. The tunnels are just a few inches larger than the train cars. If you hang out a little too late you'd be crushed.

Rode down for lunch on 26 Sept. Nice day and after lunch rode to the creek.

Sorry for the shaky pics while in the tunnel. maintaining 25mph, looking at the camera settings, and staying between the rails.
Next day met with DOT about Motorcycle safety in the Tunnel. All on a stolen GS (thanks Victor)

The most exciting tunnel/tunnels that I've experienced. It was somewhere in northern central Italy -- near Bolzano I think. U-turns in tunnels! There are probably 8 or 10 one-way tunnels as the road switchbacks down a narrow ravine. Pretty nutty road builders, those italians.

You took a Blackbird over Tremalzo?!?!? I did it on a GS and wanted a full-on dirt bike.
