I just had to participate in this....how could this be worse than four eyes on a black blank page?
 This is in the Columbia River Gorge, Washington side past Stevenson, looking sorta east. Yes, that is a tunnel in the background. Actually there is a traffic tunnel on the left and a railroad tunnel on the right. There are several in this stretch of the woods.  This is the view to the left of my vantage point in the previous picture. This is one of the few or (maybe only) remaining log flumes in the PNW (Pacific Northwest USA). This is a real historical treasure.

Thats to close to home for me not to know. Its an interesting feeling riding on the appex between the rails of the Whittier Tunnel. Longest tunnel in North America. Fun days Im on my Strom going through. Work days Im blasting through on the train.

Way Under Ground
Tunnel into Bear Swamp Power Plant, Florida, MA.
All those engines sounded like a giant beast in there. After this an elevator took us 800? feet down to the turbine room under the Deerfield river. Think I shoulda brought a tripod on the bike? .
