Laugh Pics are up from Vegas...

Gotta love that Tarded riding position next to the jockeys :) I love the upright seating :)

BTW... Anyone have the SCOTT steering dampener? Got a review?

Mine is 2006. Basically stock.

Thanks!
** Correction**

Mine is listed as 4.62 gallons. I thought I'd get about 180-200 miles before it runs dry (estimating 40 miles per gallon).

Mine's an '06, full akro system, jetted and 16T. I usually get about 34-36mpg on the road with mixed riding. Theoretically 34x4.62=157.08, but I've never run her dry. I start looking for fuel at 100miles.

Do you still have your stock headers and collector? (I don't need a y-pipe). I think I have a leak in mine and am happy to repelce with stock if I cna find a decent set. PM if you have please!

I run a 16T and just put Wings on. Not re-jetted yet but I only get about 100 mi beofre the light comes on. How the hell is someone gettng 180? I don't understand that one.

Need stock headers

I posted in the flea market, but this being the SM thread thought 'i would ask if anyone has their stock header/collector setup ( I already have replaced the y-pipe, thanks Snowhawk Jockey!) please pm me with price you want. I have a slight leak in mine and am going to have to fix it.

Also if anyone has changed over to the SE/Adv setup with the relocated header, could you fill me in on what is needed? I'm assuming the header back and the other oil tank, just curious as to the cost/complexity of changing if I have to replce the headers on mine. Might be worth the extra $$ and aggravation.

I don't have a header to sell you, but why couldn't you pull yours and have it welded?

Sorry, I do not have the stock headers. Previous owner installed the akro system and junked the stockers.

The full system is beautiful, but I would never have bought one. $2,800 is ridiculous. If it were my money I would have bought some Leo slip-ons for 2k less and called it good.

I have 16T also. I wonder if I'd get more range if I switch back to 17T...

My friends and I often ride in the mountains and areas w/o many gas stations, so looking for a gas station every 100 would be quite annoying. I was hoping for a solid 150 before having to *start* looking for a gas station.

I was asking if anyone was getting 180 miles out of a tank.. It seems possible if the bike was getting 40 miles per gallon, which doesn't seem too far fetched for a motorcycle.

I get 40mpg if im on the slab all day, or if im tearing up the back roads.

I have the 16t front and stock rear sprocket, pipes and jet work.

When the bike was stock with the stock cans and 17t I was having trouble getting 35mpg.

Do you think it's worth rejetting mine even though I still have stock pipes? The front is 16T, rear is stock. It has about 12K miles.

well, I'm not an expert by any means so I'll tell you what the guys at my local KTM dealer say (and they're pretty good at what they do)

If the bike is all stock, there's no reason to rejet. They like to put pipes on to help get rid of heat. Pipes = jet work. And if you're in there that far, you may as well pull the emissions stuff and put on the block off plates (which effectively richens the fuel mix by taking away air recycled through the exhaust- or something like that)

So pipes, emissions gutting and jet work sort of go all together.

With a bike that's stock, no reason to change anything unless it's not running correctly.

If you want more range, you'll have to find a way to carry more fuel.

I bought a 1.25 gallon can at walmart and if I think I may need it, I take it with.

My bike has always had the 17 so I don't know for certain but I lowered the gearing on my Uly and it actually improved the gas mileage ( 52 hwy MPG). It was so tall stock that I could not use high gear, stayed in 4th or 5th all the time. I have a feeling the same situation exists w/ the 950 SM.

I'm trying to have a back-up but I was going to see if that is an option. It depends on how much material is available around the affected areas unless I'm not thinking about it correctly.

I did throw the Wings on, which I love and replaced my y-pipe due to the old having a crack right along the underside seam. I sent that out to get welded, so have a spare one of those now.

I figured I would check in here because I kow you guys are a bunch of serial farklers!!!!
