That's okay, my Kawi has plenty of good memories to keep itself occupied while I'm neglecting it...

I was really happy to get this photo three days ago, then the next day heard that one of the soldiers from this company had been killed the following day and another critically injured. I'm not 100% sure it was these guys, but it appears from all reports I've seen so far that it was - they were supporting the Tour de Timor as part of the International Stabilisation Force here in Timor-Leste, and they were the only two Australian Army trucks that I saw doing that. Bugger and RIP Craftsman Beau Pridue

Yep - she was a real cutie eh, Andras?

... and yet another day - about 4 days ago at Lacluba - about 1,300m up behind Manatuto, Timor-Leste

Hmmm - should I post this one? How's the ATGATT score? Anyone else had a side-saddle passenger, wearing flip-flops, no helmet.... in a city where anarchy reigns on the roads?

Would you believe I saw a 9 year old kid pillioning his mother to work the other day, then again riding back.

I don't know if it is really a "How To" video but I love the slow motion video of me taking the KTM across the pothole.

I could not resist...

... to do some experimenting.

Not the most beautiful pictures, but the SE through an IR pair of glasses.

Engine cold, not too exciting:

Cold muffler, just some reflection:

Cold as ice:

Adding energy, the lighting system and human body heat on the seat:

Which way was the bike blinking for the last 2 minutes?

Bike running for about 10 seconds. Camera already out of range on some parts:

Heat radiating from under the seat:

What exhaust system did you say?

Yes, also the photographer radiates heat, as seen in the mirror:

Radiator and oil tank are hot:

Letting the engine cool down, so temperature gets back into camera's range:

The exhaust system cools down relatively fast:

Skid plate, oil tank and front cylinder:

Yes, it's an LC8

Rear cylinder with SAS plate (soon to be removed) and exhaust header:

That photo of the heat escaping around the seat in very telling of why my butt feels like a pancake on a griddle on hot summer days in tight trails.

Pretty rough section from the ride last weekend. Very rocky uphill in Southern Ohio.
