A couple from a fortnight or so back in Timor-Leste. On the way out from climbing Mt Ramelau for the sunrise.

Hmmm... nice petrol

OK,,,, so I'm double the weight of anything that's been across it till now. What could possibly go wrong?

Yes, an inch or so on each end, courtesy of Superplush. I did a write-up on it when I had it done in 2009 (iirc). It's in one of the "lowering" thread. I also have a 950SM front fender on it which I think also "visually" lowers the bike.

got a link to the thread??

How much did it set you back?

My SE is crazy tall for me now that I've got a Meyer seat on it. I can fall over in the driveway because of not touching the ground let alone on uneven ground

For a revalve, respring rear and lower, super plush is about $815.00. if you like the rear spring about 140 less.

+1

The previous owner of mine lowered it by taking the fork tube up about 1/2 an inch and reducing the preload on the rear. When I got it I reset it to stock height. Never know it with my fat @$$ on the bike looking like The Great Pumpkin.

But the suspension is so nice going over water breaks.

Alabama Rest Area

Yesterday... DYI redneck rest area, located on a busy state highway roadside, west Alabama coal fields.

Used to have a sign: "Townley Rest Area." It's likely hanging over a toilet in a trailer somewhere now.
