FYI: I got rid of that ugly windscreen and got a GIVI that works well and looks a lot better.

Here are some pics from past Wee explorations. I have an XR650L for gnarlier excursions but the Wee has seen some rough terrain too. It's been OK off-road except for in sand and mud. I've learned the hard way that sometimes it's better to just turn around...

A walk through the woods

Got few experience skills with the Vee off-road, so I'm not going that fast, which will be evident in the video clip. Nice woods though. Sandy 2-track, and a few puddles with ice under the water. This is from a week ago in the Yankee Springs area which is close to home. Looks like it'll be a convenient area to beat up on the bike and get accustomed to the feel of riding in sand.

About as rough as me and the wee go! Maybe put on some TKC's and get rid of the bags for a little more dirt.

Watch for falling bombs!

It's a forest road so technically it's not really "off-road", but here's Sandstrom outside the perimeter fence of Pine Castle bombing range in the Ocala National Forest:

That's it... if these deathwings ever wear out, I'm getting TKC's. I'm seeing visions of bashplates and engine guards dancing in my head too. I figure that the Strom weighs less than a GS 1150, and I've seen them go through some nasty stuff- now it's my turn.

A buddy of mine rides an 1150GS. While neither are dirt bikes, there isn't anyplace he's gone that I haven't been able to follow.
