You can't tease us with a photo like that an then no explanation!

Ever drop it on the right side, seems it might be a bit vulnerable.

Yes it is, it the Encore. Last night was the .410, I was in search of the ever so tasty Blue grouse (no luck, went home hungry ). I also run a scoped .223 for Deer, Couger and general plinking. Looking at getting a 30.06 for Bear and Elk.

So far, I have not dropped the bike, when the going gets rough I sling it over my shoulder or strap it to the back seat. I dont worry so much when I am not running the scoped barrel.

Man, I gotta get me a strom.
I was waiting for the 07 colors to come out, thinking I might buy an 06 leftover if I didn't like the new colors, but there aren't any leftovers and now they've added ABS. So, I'm waiting to see how the ABS pans out.
And, I'm saving. "must spend money smartly... Must not impulse buy..."

Is there a prize for MOST Stroms offroad? I had 7 follow me down a logging road on our last trip, for a total of 8 Stroms.

This picture was taken on our way out. The road was worse further in, but we had to stop for photos with the broken down skidder.

I need to bring my camera with me more often. Yesterday we went down a bunch of forest service roads (two-up). I saw a ride report about south africa and saw a couple both standing up on the pegs on their 1200GS.

Wow its so much easier and smoother.

A couple spots of the road was rather sandy or rocky and both of us standing up felt so much more stable. Not to mention I had the saddle bags weighted down with our textbooks....

I came from a KLR and its such a dirtbike compared to the vstrom i rarely needed to stand up on it... even in the hard stuff.
