Riding Baja
Hey Guys
Looking for advise for a Baja ride. Tires, fuel, insurance, Lodging and such. Looking at a three day loop. Leaving Tecate, first stop would be in San Felipe, then over to Ensenada, then over to TJ. and Back to the US. Maybe 10% dirt.

No, I believe they are Mitas e-07's. I asked him what he thought of them in the other thread but never got a reply.

mitas tyres
sorry guys i was away on a trip to the appalachians this week. Yeah the mitas 07s are great for the kind of riding i do. By that i mean 90% tarmac 10% offroad/gravel. I lifted my wee 1 inch in the back and still manage to grind the pegs easily in corners when i ride with sport bike friends. So traction on dry tarmac is very good. Wet tarmac on the other hand, you have to be careful because they lose grip if you push it. Offroad traction is very good as long as you aren't trying to bury the bike in mud. As shown in one of the pics i posted, you CAN get stuck with these tires
. All in all im pretty satisfied because the tires really do work great as a 50-50 tire. The only thing im not so keen about is the durability of the front tire. It's going to need to be replaced at the same time i will do the rear. I think it has less rubber on purpose to replace the whole set at the same time but it's much more expensive. I was thinking 2 rear for 1 front, but nope, front is already cupping at 9k km. So all in all, not legendary durability but very good traction. I expect the set to last around 11- 12k km and i already need to slow down on gravel since it's worn to the markers ( still 3/8 of knobs to go ) on the rear. For tarmac duty, no difference.

bridge crossing
dude, that was the most dangerous bridge i've ever crossed even tough it wasn't all that high up
. We aligned the planks on the extreme right of the bridge to run on them since there was no solid part left on the entire surface. Had to cross it again since it was a dead end on the other side doh !
