I rotate the engine by hand before to adjust the valve clearance and no noise or restriction was observed, by this reazon I think the impeller is not touching the housing.

Regards.
After I saw this photo I torn down my 86 400 XCE pump to check clearance as I had resurfaced the housing. I used the old engine builders trick of putting modeling clay on the impeller vanes then assemble the housing on the motor. I had plenty of clearance.

Kinda sounds like there may have been another problem causing the impeller to contact the housing.

The water pump gasket is what, 1 or 2 mm thick? Even if the gasket is missing you should be able to have some clearance between the impellers and the housing. My guess is the nut that holds the impeller was not on tight enough.

Um...they're $42.95 plus $5.55 shipping. That's $48.50 new to my door

BTW, anyone have pics of that case-saver working?

I'm worried it'll break out the bolts at the case mounts.

Really? Where? Damn, I got ripped off if this is true.

Edit: just did a search and could not find anything cheaper than $64.95 + shipping and none were for the Husky. Please show me the link for a new BRP chain guide that is $48.50 shipped.

I don't understand the point? We all know the stock chain is junk..throw it away and put a good chain on the bike..no need for a case saver IMHO.
