![]() This is near the top of Black Gulch by the Kern River. I wiped out 5 times going up this mountain and can say with confidence that these bikes take a good beating and keep on going. |

Oh, and I have to ask, is that the Arai XD helmet? What do you think of it? Is it hot with the shield closed during off road work? I like the concept of that helmet. Thanks.

I'd have to agree ...
Rode my TE610 thru some of the worst at WARPED 3 including Cannell Meadow. Worked as advertised! Long wheelbase and short turn radius didn't help on the switchbacks tho' ...
Great all rounder

Well, I finished the pipe. It wasn't looking good for a little while there, but I got it buttoned up and it doesn't look all that bad. Scuffing up a $130 part makes you cringe, but this isn't a show-n-shine bike anyways.
![]() ![]() I started putting on the new tank. Decided to run some wiring up front for grip heaters and a quick connect for the gps. Then figured I'd de-smog it too. Until I realized that I have no idea as to how/what all these lines do. A little complex for a KLR owner. I imagine the de-smog is in the index thread....off to look. |

Has anyone thought about an air cleaner mod that would get it to breathe from higher up the filter? Seems this would prevent some of the swamping issues in water. For that matter, couldn't a guy just tape over some of the openings just to get across?

I had to modify one of the inserts that came with the LeoVince to sandwich it in, It works But it still is not what I call quiet. It has a good sound and it is better than the LeoVince quiet insert.

Why no cush drive on the 610?? Seems like a lot of folks worry about the lack of a cush hub when they convert a dirt bike to dual sport. How do we get away without one on the 610??
