I live in south texas between the gulf coast and laredo. The closest husqvarna dealer is in austin about 4 hours north. I may have to make a run up there on a saturday.

Anyone know anything about 09 availability and ship dates? I just heard that BMW didn't/wasn't gonna make the 610 this year, but Husky said they need them, and BMW decided to make them. ALso they just went into production and won't be out till April. Is there any validity to this info? I wonder if that's why no one is making a tank for the FI 08's, maybe they thought it was the last year and didn't want to tool up to make FI tanks for only one years worth of sales.

Just got back from playing motohookie for two days in the mountains.
I love this bike more every ride.

Took these two this morning while riding the Four Mile area above Buena Vista Colorado.

I like the bit "based on the SM 610"; as though the SM model had been around for years, and all they did was a 'save-as' to make the TE 'Dakar' variant.

The saddle is exceptional. Let me know if you want to try it out.
I rode a bunch the past 2 days and never once did my tailbone bother me. Its transformed the bike for me. I don't want to stop riding

I'm going to make final decision on headlight tomorrow.. have a few things to research first.
Did you install that X2 yet?

Sort of. Did a test fit the other day. Found that the X2 Halogen will need some tweaking to fit. The horn is in the way and the pin plate for the lower mount has interference from the fender brace. MrKartoom and I were talking about this over in a TT thread.
