Mine came with several different options to plumb the back of the pipe. I went with what was suppose to be the sound suppresser and the sparky. It is still a little loud for my tastes. I can post some pictures if you like.

Here are the pieces of my LV3 tip
The left most is my forest baffle... ![]() This screen is the "spark arrestor" (thought at night my buddy claimed he would see 6" flames shoot out of it when I backfired) ![]() ...and here is the stock baffle (right)

p.s. I don't know what came with the pipe stock; I got both from Robert when I bought it from him.

awwww, I didnt get the forest baffle that you referred to. Do you run that? I'd like to give one a try. I'd suffer a little performance for a little less noise.

Handguards
I need to get some hand guards and am looking at the Moose Aluminum bars, with no wind diflectors. Does anyone know the size of the bars, I dont have the bike with me here.... Is it the standard 7/8"?
Thanks.... anyone used these bars before?

Dramatically quieter. A bit less power.

Hey guys!! Long time lurker, new poster here.
I'm looking for a good reliable dual sport and considering the TE610, KTM 690, BMW 650 Xchallenge. I presently ride a Vstrom and raced a CR250 2 stroke in the past. I really like the look of the Husky but was concerned about the lack of stores I see carrying them. I'm expecting to put 5-8,000 miles a year on this bike and will often do trips far from home. Was hoping someone could comment on the reliability of the Husky ... also, if you were riding from Texas to Monterrey for instance and your stator blew up how hard would it be to find a new one in Mexico vs a Yamaha XT600 for instance. I was also curious about the BMW takeover ... can you get parts at a BMW store when there is no Husky store near? Thanks in advance Z |

Spring Bling.
For whomever asked; I decided on a Lynx setup. HID lowbeam with Halogen high-beam (I want to be able to flick the high beam off and on for oncoming traffic). I ordered it in blue with a smoke screen. Some of you may recall me mentioning I had a chaffing problem. Not me personally.. the front brake lines were chaffing my front fork tube problem solved.. e-line carbon tubes will protect/cover the chaffing and a goodridge steel braided line so I can get rid of the old warped brake line: ![]() Once I have all that crap installed.. the only thing left on the bike that is "bugging me" is the state of all of my vent tubing. Its all split/cracked/broken etc... so I need to delve in and re-plumb the bike. Since I could get the tube in any color.. why not bling it up a little. It'll go with that anodized blue vent filter eh? ![]()
