Someone's already mentioned Yo La Tengo, so I have to add their cover of "Little Honda."

Sure, it's technically about a scooter, but eh.

May have already been mentioned, but make sure you check out "Harley Davidson Blues" by Canned Heat.

We used to sing this (to the tune of "The Wild Rover") at campfire as boy scouts.

Well I've been a hells angel for many a year
And Ive spent all me money on black leather gear
But now Im returning my bum it is sore
And never Ill play the hells angel no more

Chorus

And it's No Nay Never (Right up your clutch)
No nay never no more
Will I play the hells angel
No never no more

I went into a garage I used to frequent
And told the mechanic my crankshaft was bent
I asked for a new one, he answered me nay
He said yours is Norton we stock BSA

Chorus

I took from my pocket, a brand new flick knife
And his eyes opened wide, in fear for his life
He shouted I'M SORRY, TAKE WHAT YOU LIKE
I said ta very much mate I'll have a new bike

Chorus

Well as I was picking my brand new machine
Some 40 odd skinheads appeared on the scene
They said Oi, you want bovver?, I could not say nay
As 20 steel toecaps were heading my way

Chorus

Now as I recover in the intensive care ward
I practice my alphabet to stop getting bored
Cos after the kicking my head it is sore
And never Ill play the Hells Angel no more

I'm not exactly sure about songs "about" riding per-se, but songs that convey the feeling is another thing entirely.

That said; I'm surprised nobody mentioned "Highway Star" by Deep Purple - granted it's not necessarily a "motorcycle" song, but it has that "feel" to it (driving / riding fast on the highway etc., etc)

"Hell Bent for Leather" Judas Priest (many Priest songs have that high speed adrenaline feel to them)

For me the song (or instrumental even) has to convey the feeling, not just be about riding / driving.

You're right - SFSlim is kind of a nobody.

Red Barchetta and Highway Star are about cars, not motorcycles. I don't think bikes are mentioned in either of those two.

I find about 4 hours into a long ride I will start talking and singing to myself. Usually start singing The Passenger - Iggy pop and the stooges as I slowly morph the song into non-sensical garbage. I'm not very good with isolation.

I sometimes do that at the start of a ride with "Raw Power".
