2014 Harrow Vinduro: July 26 - 27

It's on again! This will be the 6th time that this awesome event has been held around the isolated township of Harrow in Western Victoria. Once again we are expecting a big turn-out of riders on pre 85 dirt bikes.

We've made a few changes to the format this year, most notably that bikes need to be registered and riders must have a motorcycle licence.

Postal entries officially close today, you can enter at the event but a late fee applies.

More details can be found on the VERi website: www.verivinduro.com.au

I grew up just down the rd In Edenhope.

Each year I head home to see my folks, but once again I miss this by one weekend. But look out for team "Camel Toe Racing". Thats my brother and a few others. they will hav a selection of XR350's TS250, KDX's IT's and a Triumph TR5 Scrambler, that is always ridden hard.

Enjoy.

Have to try & get down there next year, what sort of country are they running it in?, I don't know that part of the country
I'd like find something like this closer to home [Yass nsw], most stuff around here is a bit too technical & tight for my toy
Cheers

I grew up just down the road in Casterton. I'll keep an eye out for your brother's team. My own team will include a TS250X, PE250, XT250 & DT125.

The country consists mostly of farmland with rolling hills. It's gonna be an all new course this year, so I can't tell you exactly what it's like. It is always a heap of fun though.

There are a few blokes from up your way who come down every year.

You'll see a wide variety of bikes at Harrow, bikes entered this far range from CT125 to XT550 and everything in between including loads of XRs and ITs.

How'd you reckon an old fart on an XS650 'Adventure' would go,
I'm out for a laugh so don't care if I'm not a winner - just a finisher would be great!!!!
Cheers

Dusting off the old XL500

I'll be there this year, a Vinduro Virgin!
I had anXL 500 from the 80's covered in dust and bird turds, so thought l
I'd get her out and see what happens.
Turns out that after 3 years in the shed ,with same fuel, it started 2nd kick(fired on the 1st!)
Reading through the entry list is a veritable feast of 70's and 80's classics, XRs ITs, PEs, Huskys, rare and endangered European gems.
Hoping to finish 1 lap, then see what happens. Hope the secret weapon (23" front wheel) will work its magic

Hey Baza, there's a dude on Trumpy that gets around ok, so anything is possible.

I've never missed a Harrow Vinduro but won't be there this year.
If you're keen for next year , I'll certainly be willing to come back to cheer you on.

Will be keen on doing it but depends on what's happening next year, chuck the bike on the ute & head down if possible
Like a good play in the dirt but the stuff around here are too tight & technical for the XS650,
done Kowen Forest twice - DNF both times though, me not the bike's fault!!!
Cheers
