R ist smaller (200mm by the wheel) than the C by the wheel. So the C wheel do not fit without any works in de R. But it is done. Myway screwed with this post 01-15-2010 at 06:31 PM |

Hey guys,
I'm about to be snagging a 94 klx650c for $1200 this weekend, and I thought I'd post up here. The bike is in good mechanical condition, not the prettiest, but I can fix that. Anyway, I've read through the thread, and just thought I'd ask a couple of quick questions. Has anyone put an aftermarket headlight kit on these? Anybody converted to the computerized speedo/tach? Does anyone know of a good handguard kit for these? I'm looking forward to this bike. It will be only my 2nd bike in all my 20 years of riding :) I'll be looking forward to taking the knobbies off of my 39 yoa BeeMdubya r/75!

Since 1994 i drive a klx650 c.
About the handle bar, i use a set off rox risers, because allroad tours, just standing a lot. Because off that higher bars i put a klr650 clutch cable (longer) on with a elbow. Just bought a set off tusk D flex handguards. I like them thick alu and nice spoiler http://www.rockymountainatvmc.com/pr...&colorAttr=613 ![]() Now a little problem with the klr elbow clutchcable, it is the way for mounting the dflex to the bar. Have to solve that problem. After 17 years off KLX650 in the world all kind off modifications are done. Also headlight and speedo too. I have also a roadbook and tripmaster ( biketacho with naviplus) on it for roadbook trip. |

Just picked up a 1995 KLX 650 C with 12000 miles and in PRISTINE condition...$2500!!...
Came with big tank, FMF pipe which goes on this weekend, Some kind a funky windscreen that works really well on highway, taller cs sprocket for highway use, Jet Kit , Manual/auto cam adjuster, tool tube....but man does this bike ride great and way faster than i thought, cruises hwy @ 85+no prob....except front end is a bit wobbly over that . Just came off a 2007 Dakar that was munched and totaled 4 weeks ago and this bike being 15 years old rides 10x better than the beemer. Lots of upgrades, mostly cosmetic to be done, Super moto front fender, smaller signals, new Trail Tech X2 halogen headlight , paint red parts all black and i will have one sick ride....will start postin pics of process soon!! Cant believe id like an old bike sooo much

Hello
Hey guys. I'm new to the site and wanted to say hi. I picked up a very clean 1996 KLX650R today. I have a lot to learn about the bike but am looking forward to it. I signed up over on the yahoo board and have been doing a little reading there as well.

Hey thanks. Yes, it has a light kit on it and is plated. That was one of the biggest draws for me because you can't do it anymore in Oregon from what I have seen. There are a few things I need to fix and/or change with the lighting though.
