Where's the bike?

I've hiked all over that area and climbed the Minarets back in the old days; one of my favorite spots!

Would I do that again on a 350!!?? Jeez!!! What was I thinking??

We had a great time and not one problem.

you were thinking that it was a motorocycle and a trip was in the stars.

I often wonder why there are so few bikes like this now?

a 350 twin was adecent sized machine, a 500 was big, a 750-4 was HUGE

my first trips were on a 125 yamaha (AT2??)

then I started an annual tradition of a weeklong ride to the BRP from Wilmington, up to Front Royal and either over to the coast and home or as far down the BRP as I had time for. This was when I got my XT500 in 76.

why is it that we have to have a BIG bike to adv ride?

my GPz750 is fine for one-up camping, the XT600 is actually easier than the XT500 for long trips.

I'm torn between the 2 for Rebel Yell next month ....

oh well

cool pic

Thumb Cape Breton

Here's a shot of the camping cabin we rented in Dingwall, Cape Breton. Felt like top of the world. We did the 3500 mile tour from NJ in June an our Harley's . Next year i will take my Husky TE-610 instead. Nova scotia had more awesome little dirt trails and roads scattered all over that i couldn't explore on the Road King. Like Meat Cove that's off in the distance on the cloud covered mountain. Next Year....
