Note to Self:

If you want to get a good night sleep... don't put your tent this close to the river when there is a huge thunderstorm in the area.

I kept waking up and thinking "is the river getting louder?"

...but it was worth it.. because this view is just up the trail

Campsite was in the valley right in the center of the photo

Like the tent? Brand/model? When you open the rain fly does it let water drip in the tent? I am finding a high percentage of 3 season tents do. Looking for one with a little better design.

It is a "Chaos 2" tent by Alps Mountaineering.
It thunderstormed all night and I never had a drop come in.

We have a bunch of tents (including a 4 season K2) and this is my solo preference.. its super easy to put up and take down, big enough for me and all my gear/luggage (they call it a 3 man), and it packs fairly small.
