I wonder if the HT soft luggage racks would help? I can't really see what you did in that pic.

Sorry, this is the rack I made with 3/8" rod. After this pic I added a loop around the rear fender to attach the two sides together....but it was really unnecessary for the soft bags as it was sturdy enough as it sits in this picture.

Oooh, I like that. And I'm sure I could make a pair of those for less than $100. Where did you find the rod?

If you have access to a welder, it's about a $25 job. I just picked up the rod at a local retail store. You should be able to buy it at just about any hardware or autoparts place.

Hey, I'll pay for a set if you make 'em!

And as an "added" bonus, I'll come and pick 'em up! I grew up in E-town, Park St. back when AMP was still there! I know my way around!

What do ya say? I have a trip comming up, and wanna get the new Wolfman Paniers, but don't have cash for the bags AND the mounts!!!

Oh, and I can't weld for do-do.....

They are not really DOT-approved turn signals. They are actually "marker" lights. They work fine. I rode four days in Texas through highways, back roads, small towns and San Antonio, stopped several times next to police cars at red lights and did not have any problems at all.

The rear ones I bought at Alamo Cycle-plex in San Antonio, TX, off the shelf. The front ones I got on-line, but I can't remember where. I'll look through my files to find out.

I don't "get" the mini turn signals.....with all the Hi Viz, modulating headlights, and flashing brake lights why in the hell would you want to make the turn indicators smaller (miniscule).
Does "I never saw saw him officer" bring anything to mind??!?!?!?!?!?!

I ride a lot off road and I've broken several sets of turn signals so I'm trying these small ones that adhere to the plastic. The rear ones are pretty bright but I'm not entirely happy with the front. Still looking for better solutions.

Teambft...having the PIAA's all the way down there, you don't feel they are too vulnerable to rocks and debri thrown by the front wheel? Do they stick out to the sides beyond the crash bars? Would you mind sharing a picture showing the PIAA's from the front?

Also, you mentioned LED flush turn signals...could you post a link or picture of these turn signals? Thanks.
