June 21st eh?
Hi Simon,
That doesn't sound like you'll have much time in AK. I hope the four of us can manage to get together for a couple bottles of wine or a brew at some point. I hear Lisa's looking for a 21 incher (front wheel that is ). Nothing confirmed yet but I might have something in the works that would satisfy her. (Pun intended.)Where you guys hiding out now? Sounds like you made it back across the border anyways. Cheers,

Hi Mark, yep we're in Mexico but we'll definately meet up for a drink as we ride North, We'll email you nearer the time to confirm details but it would be fun to ride some of the way with you guys. What do you have in the works re the 21incher. Lisa is getting all excited.
Hey Mileater...yeah, the Fuji sticker...Fuji in South Africa sponsored us with a new 'point and shoot' camera which, worked great up until Argentina when it stopped working. I tried to contact them over the course of 4-weeks about any kind of solution but got nothing back and so had to borrow some money and get whatever camera I could. At the time the Nikon was the only option and to be honest it's worked out wonderfully. The Fuji sticker has now gone We'd love to replace it with a Nikon sticker but getting hold of anyone at Nikon is prooving imposible. Our D70s is having problems, probably due to wear and tear, dust, dirt and vibration but we'll see what happens. It's been our first DSLR and Nikon have proved they sure can build cameras.Cheers Simon T

Hi Simon,
thanks for the reply. I was just kiddin' a bit as I would love a Nikon DSLR but can't afford it, so I got myself a wee Fuji S3000 a few years back. Getting dated now but it has been a solid workhorse for me. I bought a Nikon F (Black body) back in 1969 and flogged it unmercifully for years (that was how I earnt a crust in those days) putting hundreds of miles of film through it. The thing would not quit and still goes fine today. Unfortunately, the cost of processing has made film a bit of a luxury, so Digital it is from now on. Sorry to hear that your Nikon is giving you problems but, I guess, cameras on the road will suffer when compared to those kept at home for snapshots Looking forward to more posts and those superb pictures Cheers, Allan |

Wow, I just found this tread, thanks to your shameless bump!. I went there a few years ago by 4WD, but doing it by bike looks really great.
