I think the answer is no, chicken liver will not work.

Anyway, I had forgotten this topic. I think it's time to make my contribution.

----

Fish - by Lake Egirdir/TURKEY. - The fish was delicious. We wished it was dinner as the fish would be so good with some beer. Unfortunately we had a long way to go... The fellow is my buddy Harun.

You see a peninsula in this photo. It is where we had this lunch.

This was our view:

Another lunch... Köfte (Meatballs) in Taskent/TURKEY (Taskent May be translated as Stone City)

Around 36-55'27" N 32-29'23" E

I noticed that "Krzysztof P." has a picture of the building seen at the background at panoramio.com.

Hence the name is Taskent.

Another fish by Lake Beysehir/TURKEY at the same day.
We had carp for dinner. It was delicious. This restaurant is at our camping place.

Location 37-39'15.8" N 31-39'55.8" E

lunch in Uzumlu/TURKEY - The next day we visited my school mate and his family from primary school. They almost instantly prepared the lunch for us.

Please note that the meals are not served to plates for everyone. The traditional way... At the old times fork was not popular. Thanks to Turkish dishes, they were not needed. Only spoons were present.

This is the meal seen on the left. The dark pieces you see are mushroom pieces.

This is an expensive type of mushroom. Morchella esculenta - Morel

.

They run a family business:

Yes, they make shotguns.

Dinner in Egirdir/TURKEY - That night we had the dinner in Egirdir.
"Burdur Kebabi" is a meatball skewer. OK, let's say it is the dish on the right. On the left, you see our bread, probably made in a tandir. In the middle is a different Kofte - içli köfte. I do not name it as meatball because some walnut is involved in the process of making it.

This is the most extraordinary part - even for us. A sweet pide with sugar and cheese. "Şekerli pide". Normally pide is a part of the main course. Meat, cheese, and eggs are most popular toppings. In this case addition of sugar made this dish a dessert. I liked it.

Location: 37-52'39.2" N 30-49'27.6" E

Pide is the ancestor of the pizza by the way.

Lunch, somewhere in Anatolia/TURKEY

We had "kuzu tandir" for the lunch. kuzu stands for lamb and tandir is a traditional oven. Tandir is an oven which is in the ground like a water well.

Location: 37-54'49" N 30-27'25" E

Tandir:
