Roadside Pupusa stand

This place along Krome Avenue offered a great break on an 80 degree January afternoon. El Salvador just up the road from home.

Road Food

Flo's Hot Dogs. "The best steamed hot dogs on Rt 1"
If you travel in southern Maine it is one of the things that you must check off the life list. Also on the list would be things like; seeing a light house, going to LL Bean, eating a lobster and hearing somebody saying "you can't get there from here"

Talking memorial day weekend ride..

Noah, Katie and I went on a little southwest WA, northwest OR loop on memorail day weekend..

one of the things that Noah did, was try out some ways of packing food such as Eggs for a multi day ride- so they are hard boiled-

a little salt, and a little paprika, and viola! yummy!

good way to get your egg protien in on a trip, with less trouble of keeping them cold!

(not to mention, a cheap way to go too!)

Same trip- later that evening....

chillin' at a petrol station, we were hungry and had cheap food to eat- Ramen noodles, and the rest of the hard boiled eggs- and some kosher hot dogs cut into bits... boil it all up, and yummy soup! (if you like salty ramen lol)

after all that money we saved by eating cheaply- we decided to splurge once we got to Seaside, OR...
Captains platter

with a little bit of rabbit food too (for health reasons ) nah. it was really good too!

we all approve of this meal!

we also packed along some avacados- with pita bread thingys.. just smear some avacado and salt onto the pita bread, and.... consume!

I felt like I should be in Baja for some reason... but the cold wind and lack of hot sand made me think of Washington... but yeah, fuel for .. well, we were trying to make it to the campground without hitting deer, so I needed to be extra alert!

have you ever read the nutritional info on the back of a can of corned beef hash? well.. if you are concerned about your health, dont! however, it is very delicious! so keep eating it!

anyways.. I guess I should get around to doing a ride report from that weekend's ride

keep these food pics comin! they are appitizing!

My daughter an I rode up to the foot of Mt. Adams near Trout lake WA 6-19-08 and on the way back we ate at The Logs tavern restaurant. It's a local biker/hunter spot that has been there since the 30's. The food is pretty good and the atmosphere is rustic. I remember eating there with my dad on a hunting trip when I was about 12 years old. I bet there are several ADV riders from around here that have been here. It is a great launching spot for some great dual sport riding.

We rode up to the end of the road to the snow line where the climbers start their accent of Mt. Adams

Mag waiting to be fed.

I had 1/2 a fried chicken and huge joe joes with coleslaw dinner.
Mag had "the whistle punk burger" w/fries.

Went to pay the bill and saw all these old Polaroids stapled to the bar. Had Mag take a pic of "Al and Margret" she spells her name the same way. Too Funny.
