Thumb Podere del Grillo, San Miniato, Tuscany, Italy

At Podere del Grillo they will be happy to cut you fresh bread, and make two pannini.
One with pecorino, the other with lonzino al vino santo. The latter made by Macelleria Falaschi in San Miniato.

After lunch they will make, and then serve, one single coffee for you.

Is that blood sausage on the top right? Ate a lot of that as a kid until I figured out what it was.

best eaten by removing the top and placing it icing up on the bottom....the custard does not squeeze out all over the place......

We spend a month in Grand Marais,MN in our Airstream about 100 yards from the Angry Trout restaurant. Great place. Great Town. Great food.

Everyday there must be 100 motorcycles riding by. All kinds.

Snot Block! Yeee-haaa!

On a more sombre note, is the Bakey still standing? Been to Christchurch, and it is a lovely place, so sad.

Yes it is, commonly known as black pudding. That is the usual reaction, tastes great until you find out what it is.
