Tin Pan Cafe - Port Williams, Nova Scotia

If you are ever near the area, you owe it to your arteries to have one of Dee's Bodacious Burgers. A full 1 Lb plus toppings and homemade bun. Along with real pan fries and home made ice tea (refills free!). Everything here is homemade. Was there yesterday for a burger and spent most of the time talking to the owner/cook (Dee Cook...go figure) about how to concentrate the flavour of mint for the milkshakes (I recommended freezing and she thought that might work).

The All Canadian Burger (note the 2008 Bike magazines, I've read the same ones about ten times):

Wafflehouse off of Highway 50 in Brooksville FL. I always seem to wind up here any time I venture north of Lake O'.

Now this might be a trick of perspective here, but that mushroom sandwich looks massive!
Great looking plate though.

I flew my motorcycle to Nome and therefore couldn't pack important wilderness necessities like bear spray, WD40 and fuel for my backpacking stove either as cargo (in my motorcycle panniers) or in checked luggage. I was told I could purchase backpacking stove fuel in Nome, but due to the huge, unexpected influx of gold-miner wannabes, there was no backpacking stove fuel in town anywhere. And I searched high and low. Therefore instead of eating all the dehydrated backpacking meals I packed, I ate lots of peanut butter and jelly or tuna salad sandwiches for nine days of lunches and dinners. I guess that's good though as I lost a few pounds.

This was dinner my last night of camping. The mosquito repellent was very necessary. I usually wore my headnet, except when eating.

This was my picnic lunch at the Kougarok River. I'm glad I purchased bear spray as this is definitely bear country. Luckily I didn't see any bears as I was all alone.

Hmmm.... Peanut Butter and Jelly... that's great bear bait.
Will draw the bears in for miles around.
