This is a wild Iris shot while riding the Trailway-the old railway line across Newfoundland

These are Pitcher Plants which are the Newfoundland Provincial flower and are carnivorous and eat insects. Shot on the same ride

It's that time of the year again!!

Beautiful Sunday Morning after 4 days of rain...I wish that I was out riding instead of getting ready to go to work after lunch though.

Tulips pop up "wild" in my front yard every spring.....

...I'm sure they are what's left over from a previous owners flower bed...

I just let 'em grow til the grass over takes 'em....

...this is the 12th spring they've come back now.

purple is always the first to bloom in my yard...

white dogwoods and azaleas should be next.......they're getting close now..

The Peaches were in full bloom just down the street...last weekend already!

The old skool Hondas needed a little fresh air...and gas.

Spring is trying to "sprung" in western Kentucky but today does not look good for riding. Cold, rain, wind, yuck. So I thought I would catch up on what others are posting about.

Here are a few of my flower images:

Couple of tulips in the back yard

Another tulip. The black background is actually a burned out stump (along with some Photoshop work)

Wild violet (I think). They're all over the back yard.

This is from last year. The dogwoods haven't bloomed yet, but hopefully those that survived the ice storm will bloom soon.

I'll have to try and get some bikes and flowers pics.

these little guys were fairly common in the low areas where we were skiing this past weekend. Sorry for the bad shot-time was an issue

The very first azaleas blooms of '09 just had to be a boring white one at my house.....

...the "other" colors are starting to bloom too though.

...this one is kinda ragged...hungry bugs?

bonus tulip shots

they're nothing more than just another "weed" in my yard, really

The dogwoods are inching closer to full bloom....maybe this weekend.

more weeds
