On a trip to Eureka Springs, Arkansas we dodged storms all day. The storm followed us most of Saturday finally catching us in Little Rock. The storm spawned 7 to 8 tornadoes. We broke through the front just outside of Little Rock opening to clear skies the rest of the day.

Any by the looks of it, rain loves you.

Autostrada South of Florence. We ducked into this gas stop just as large hail started pelting us. The power in the station went out and within 10 minutes of this photo my bike was surrounded by dozens of cars also loking for shelter.

This turned out to be a bad storm. We had to laugh when we got thru it and stopped because it was so harsh

I-40 looking Eastward near McLean, Texas... I was riding Westbound watching this front form into a long row of thunderstorms. Luckily, I passed through before the storms started. Caught a snapshot of what lay behind me as I was leaving a fuel stop on my way Westward to New Mexico...

I noticed this thread needs some more lightning...

From Shog's 100CCC thread...

Quote:
I got cooked, soaked, and nearly sandblasted/blown off the road on my little wussy 400 mile rides to and from Tuscon on just a fraction of the route Gwen would've taken!!

There was lightning all the way from Tuscon, AZ to Winterhaven, CA, but these were taken just before the last pass east of Yuma

Little economy Olympus Stylus 410 on Night Scene mode. Picked a spot without too many ground lights so I could just shoot them handheld. If you have city lights you need a tripod because the shutter stays open for more than a few seconds. There was a lot of lightning, but to give you an idea, I still had to shoot 18 to get these three.
