Chinese scooter run to Lake Charles

Went from Pearl River LA to Lake Charles LA for no f-ing reason besides a nice day.

Start 585.7 ended 960.9

Meeting Frewhl for drinks while I'm here.

Lets see................375.2 k equals how many miles? Times two! I gotta get back.

I was about to be REALLY impressed. Still, 225 miles isn't a bad day on a scooter!

Are there no more pics from your ride?

Just back from Prudhoe Bay, IMO it was really worth the trip, AK is a beautiful place & you need lots of time to take it all in. I'm looking forward to returning & exploring some places i didn't have time to ride.RIP Ron Melton

What?

Chuck, ya come to town, ride with Tony and I read it here? Tony could have bought us both a beer!

By the way, I would have been more impressed if you had ridden the chinese dirt scoot you had at BeastFeast.

I would have needed 225 miles of trail to be legal! If I could I would!

I'll drop a pm next time I'm Lake Charles.

Looking forward to seeing everybody at the Swamp scooter Rally next month.

Praying hard Eaglemike sends my cam cap in time.

We hung out at the yatch club until after dark.
And do not eat at the Cajun Warf (before midnight I presume)

Awesome!

That Viva is pretty impressive. I'm suffering a case of parked bike syndrome being stuck up here in N. Alabama with no bike, perfect weather and awesome riding roads (at least I hammered out my assignment quickly and probably be back on Monday).

Sucks about the boat.

Mostly vandalized.
It wwas resting high and dry on the train trestle for several months.I took everything of value off and then more and some more after that.It was leaning at more than 45* and would have been hard for a land lubber to rummage through. Then the ports were smashed and the drawers vanished.
I stepped the mast by myself before the salvage and only broke one turnbuckle.
The salvage took 800hp and 600' of 2'' nylon and did a number on the stanchions and bow pulpit(i got a doner already).
She floats nice, but it is hard to keep the rain water out.
The city is hounding the board of directors to get the derelicts cleaned up.
As it cools down a bit,I plan to start working on it.
hijack off
still a lot of good touring time left around here.there were several years that a scooter would have served me well delivering Rxs and jobs close to home, but now I ride two big bridges almost every night.
