Just posted in another part of this forum...

Completely agree with you Scottr!!!!!!

We must break the rules, KTM's were not design to fulfill regulations, designers at KTM are just like us, petrolheads triying to imagine and build the perfect bike.

The first day I got my 990 S, I went for a ride in the Madrid sierra, and sudenly I found myself in the perfect slightly uphill road straight, perfect to wheelie... couldn´t resist... second gear and... up I went... great wheelie, very natural, tall and straight, 100 mtrs, when I came down, shit!!!, flashing ligts 200mts back, shit, shit, shit, highyway patrol...

I decided to try those 98hp of the stock bike. I could't believe the vay that bike handles, following the nice straigt was a beautifull twisty mountain road, no chance for the cops...

Some examples of a contoled hoolihanism in my late 40's with some of my other bikes. Coming soon, 990 S wheelies...

Definition of unhappiness:

Not having a nice bike to wheelie with.

Yes, I'm old

This was my old Hodaka, circa 1970. I was a tad lighter then.

Heard that, ATGATT back then was a kidney belt, gloves, Bell helmet (with visor) and a Navy field jacket. Wish I still had that picture of me on my Bull Campera doing my thing. Hell, I'm 52 and still love the thrill of grabbing a bunch of fun handle and feeling the front get light...

Now you're talkin'. Gawd, I loved that bike - might as well have been one of my arms or legs, it was such a part of me. That photo showed up in a shoe box at my parent's house. I scanned it and I'm happy to have found it. Good times.

I turned 52 last week. I took the Neduro clinic this weekend and had a blast. My wife keeps waiting for me to slow down. I'll slow down... when I'm dead.
