My pole dance vid. Lesson: Don't ride over your head (tired and with a screaming hangover) when the camera is behind you.

Following a Grader in Morocco, seemed like a good idea until he decided to reverse over me and my bike!

Another bad idea

that picture of the guy flying through the air reminded me of this one ...

Bad Idea #1: Straightening out doing 30mph plus when you realize you came in too wide and arent going to make the rapidly approaching, blind washed out turn and consequently superman-lawn-darting onto the miscellaneous rocks, sand and cowshit in the riverbed a couple of feet out and down...

Bad Idea #2: Riding in baja without a tow rope and being stuck, writhing in unbearable pain for 2 hours, 20 miles from anything while your buddies ride out to get one (note the radiator)

Bad Idea #3?: Spending a small fortune fixing and making the bike faster and planning the another baja trip

I used to think quicksand was only in cartoons...

Ocean Shores, WA and Moses Lake, WA. On a 500-pould GS, this is how it works for me, 40 mph of wheel-spin in 2nd gear just to get crawling, followed in about 5 minutes by dead arms. Anybody have different experience riding a GS in deep sand?

I drove back with my car and trailer (3000 mile roundtrip from France to Morocco), picked up the wreck, took it home and then fixed it up. I also got enough cash to get another bike so it ended pretty well for me!
