Riding Into History

Rather than posting some of the thousands of old bike pictures clogging my hard drives, here's a link to a little slide show. this from the 2007 Riding Into History Concours. This year's event will be on May 17 at the same location, World Golf Village, St. Augustine, FL. More info at www.ridingintohistory.org

Slide show here:

I'm guessing it a BSA Owners Club So Cal dual sport ride. I think I recognize that CAMAM

Here's another of them

Nothing like a chopper to let you know they mean "road CLOSED!"

Nice shoes. Ken Maley told me when he started making them the riders would go to local junk yards and take the bumpers off of cars, cut the ends off and use them for hot shoes. He figured he could do better (with those mid-west blacksmithing skills) and did.
I was so very fortunate to meet him before he passed along. A generous and memorable man.

Wow, this thing made me go inbto the garage and scoop for obsolete bikeparts and an old heating presure-barrel That's brilliant, rebuilding a bike like that. Plus, having the guts to build one in 1898.
Luckily reason caught up on me before my wife returned from work
